Youtube Tops

So I was feeling quite bored today, having nothing else to do (played CoH, finished new story, too lazy to study for the achievement tests just yet), and decided to go to Youtube and check all the rankings for videos, like highest rated or most viewed. Below are the highest videos in each category that can be embedded (needless to say, the rest of the post is full of videos, so be forewarned). Continue reading ‘Youtube Tops’

Things About Singapore

This is all I have to show for four days out of town. Oh, and I came up with these during the trip.

– You’re never stuck in traffic for long.
– The trees here are quite abundant compared to the Philippines.
– Most residential buildings here are high-rise condos.
– There are a lot of expensive cars plying the streets.
– Some things change (there’s something that looks like the London Eye being built).
– Some things never change (the taxis still have that unique taxi smell, oddly enough).
– People take off their shoes before entering someone’s home.
– Plastic spoons are a boon when eating chicken rice liberally doused in hoisin sauce.
– Singaporeans (and some Filipinos I know) love their chili crab.
– The MRT there is ‘most excellent’.
– There are a lot of books available here, but they’re pretty expensive too.
– Fake console games can be bought here as well.
– A giant durian houses a theater.
– The phone numbers have eight digits.
– Some Singaporeans don’t speak English.
– There are E-Class taxis, for crying out loud.
Malls can be found underground.
– The McDo there doesn’t sell Quarter Pounders.
– You could probably go from one end of the island to the other in two hours or so.
– There are parts in the mass there where the mass-goers bow to the altar.

It might not be a full-length article, but at least it’s an improvement over my previous inability to write anything except flatliners (and even then with an effort) which had been going on for the past few weeks.

And now for something completely different:

What time is it?

It’s survey-time! Seeing as I’m still working on my Puerto Galera post of mammoth proportions, and also seeing that I haven’t answered a survey since Chuck Norris knows when, I’ll answer this survey I stoled from–well, from a lot of people, actually. XD

First, a video to prepare us all for the coming Christmas season:

The Shopshank Redemption

Just saw this on tonight’s episode of American Chopper. This is by Mikey, but most of the guys have a part in it.

Moral of the story? Good bike-builders = good filmmakers. XD

PS: I’m leaving for Puerto Galera tomorrow, getting back Saturday. Wish me luck–I hope I see something good while out diving (especially now that I have a mask with graded lenses). I’ll try to post whatever pictures I get when I get back on Saturday.

Remember when I said to mark your calendars for the release date of Iron Man? Well, here’s another movie to mark your calendars for:

And yes, those are Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig. A must-watch, in my opinion–after all, it is made of awesome. Just look at London in the trailer!

PS: The movie is based on a book of the same name.
PPS: Will try to write something more meaningful tomorrow, if I’m not snowed under with work (specifically Geom).

Presenting the thoughts and travails of a teenage writer who lives under a rock--albeit a rock with Internet access. Also, videos! Also, my Tumblr.

Check the pages every month or so (Egos, Fiction, Musings, Origins), I usually add stuff little by little (with the possible exception of Fiction, which really depends). Oh, and credits to Joaq for the header image.
