Of Moon Cake And Rum Cake

Two of the most awesome videos you will ever see, these explain the ten dimensions that exist. Don’t ask how I got to these videos, it’s a pretty long story.

Part 1:

Part 2:

Are you going “mmm, cake” after reading the title? Do you like one of the cakes mentioned above–or even both? Do you like reading about my miserable excuse for a life? Or do you just want something to read to while away the time? If any of the above applies to you, then boy, do I have the post for you!

HAHAHA, I just wanted to write that, out of boredom. Anyways, on with the real post, ranting about life in general. Monday was pretty good, because of the symposium thing–sure, I had to sing, and sure, I got really hungry, but it cut into our classes (always a bonus), and everyone had lunch at the same time. XD The part of the day that doesn’t involve school was also good too, because I finished Neverwhere, by Neil Gaiman (one-sentence review: read this if you’re a fan of the surreal, because this is as surreal as things can get and yet stay real), and Tales of Mystery and Terror by Edgar Allan Poe (another one-sentence review: will severely test your comprehension and focus, but is highly rewarding and entertaining–some of the short stories in the book aren’t even scary, just really, really witty). Also, my parents’ Singaporean friend brought us two different kinds of mooncakes: one with taro, and another wit champagne and chocolate. The latter is what I’m really after, as (like I just said) it has champagne and chocolate in it. Yummy.

Today was good too: minimal mental effort (apart from the Biology practical test and the Chemistry long test), brought rum cake to school (where it quickly became popular, disappearing in minutes), and hacking into people’s journals (*grows horns*). Also, no classes tomorrow! We just have to go to school and stay in the gym throughout the day. We’ll be let out for lunch, and we don’t have to bring anything, so basically it’s classes without the classes. I also have another songfic idea, so if you’ll let me get on with it, it might be done by later.

And why the title? Well, for starters, it’s witty (or at least I like to think so), and I like both kinds of cakes: they taste good, and they’re intoxicating (with the alcohol and all). Sounds very familiar…

PS: Play this if you’re a Guitar Hero fan. Thanks, Joel. 😀

Bring rum cake or moon cake. Or bring rum…or the moon, for that matter.

Check the pages every month or so (Egos, Fiction, Musings, Origins), I usually add stuff little by little (with the possible exception of Fiction, which really depends). Oh, and credits to Joaq for the header image.
